In respect of the assessment of the Practical Units all written and practical evidence (video) must be provided by Week 20 of the 24 week programme. The remaining 4 weeks of the programme will provide time for tutor assessment and resubmission of any video evidence not found to suitable or fails to meet the assessment criteria.

A Video Evidence Check List can be found in the Essential Information Section on the Courses Pages of the e-portal.

Personal Protective Equipment where required and appropriate must be worn during the video session if the activity being undertaken requires it.

Candidate progress is monitored by an assessor who expects regular participation in the programme. Candidates receive monthly reminders of their time on programme.

ISSUING OF A QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE :
Following completion of the online modules and practical evidence by the candidate there is further activity required which is undertaken by an independent verifier and the Awarding Body (ABBE) before any certificate can be awarded. This process can take up to 45 days. This activity is required to ensure that the candidate evidence demonstrates Validity,
Reliability, Comparability, Manageability and Minimises Bias and the qualification remains robust.

A certificate will reflect the pathway chosen by the candidate:

BAFSA has no influence in these steps. A candidate Record of Achievement (evidence of completion) is put forward by their assessor for internal verification by an independent verifier. If any evidence is missing or not meeting the specification, it is returned to the to the assessor for remedial action. Once internal verification is complete, the record of achievement (evidence of completion) is provided to ABBE (Awarding Organisation) for verification and certification. If any evidence is missing or not meeting the specification, it is returned to internal verifier for remedial action.

Once a candidate is certificated with ABBE they may request use of the ABBE Qualified logo. Certificates are issued electronically.
